2023 Summit Objective:  To engage Connecticut stakeholders to address the nursing crisis in our state with focused, coordinated efforts that yield innovative, sustainable solutions for increasing the nursing supply.  
 
The nursing workforce crisis in Connecticut is a complex one, and one which needs the active support and participation of all organizations involved in the business of providing quality healthcare to our residents and to create a positive and proactive environment to promote and sustain our nursing workforce.

The Focus of the Summit is to:
  • Highlight NEW 2022 Data related to the current nursing skill gaps in the Connecticut’s nursing workforce by assessing the capacity of our education pipelines and availability of faculty; sharing the supply of nurses prepared for the roles of RN and LPN.
  • Preview TWO Connecticut-only healthcare data portals which can be used to identify demand for healthcare roles via facility type, geographic region and healthcare setting; and
  • Showcase promising practices by our statewide partners to identify how best to align available resources and dollars in targeted areas to minimize future skill gaps and achieve optimal return on investment.

  • Members of CT Healthcare Trade Associations
  • Staff and Volunteers with Workforce Development Boards
  • Colleges/Universities
  • Leaders from CT’s Departments focusing on Healthcare, Workforce Development, Education and Labor;
