2026 Summit Theme
Artificial intelligence is reshaping healthcare, workforce design, and economic growth. Nurses sit at the center of this transformation, not as end users, but as leaders shaping how AI is designed, governed, taught, and deployed.
This Summit positions nursing as critical economic infrastructure and explores how nurse-led AI can strengthen patient safety, workforce sustainability, education pipelines, and public trust, while ensuring innovation serves people, not the other way around.

Call for Poster Submissions
The Connecticut Center for Nursing Workforce invites poster submissions for the 2026 Annual Statewide Nursing Summit. This year’s theme, The AI-Driven Nursing Workforce: Nurse-Led AI in Education, Practice, and Policy, examines how artificial intelligence and AI-adjacent innovations are reshaping nursing education, clinical practice, workforce design, and healthcare governance. The Summit positions nursing as critical economic infrastructure within technology-enabled healthcare systems.
We welcome poster submissions from educators, clinicians, students, researchers, health system leaders, community health organizations, startups, and industry partners. Submissions may reflect applied innovation, pilot projects, quality improvement initiatives, translational research, digital transformation efforts, governance models, or early-stage implementation work.
Topics may include, but are not limited to:
Both AI-focused and AI-adjacent innovations relevant to nursing workforce sustainability and leadership are encouraged.
Submissions may include a 250–300 word abstract or a completed poster PDF.

A Best Innovation Poster Award will be presented at the Summit to recognize outstanding impact and scalability.
We encourage organizations and individuals across Connecticut to showcase the work shaping the future of the nursing workforce.
